Elkhorn, WI—On Monday July 3 at 7:00 p.m. the EAHS Fine Arts Boosters (FAB) will welcome the iconic KIDS From Wisconsin to the high school auditorium for their STAR STRUCK tour. These talented kids will pay homage to our nation’s famous awards shows that celebrate accomplishments from the stage, screen and beyond. Mega-popular, award-winning artists are featured in the troupe’s celebratory season with musical selections from Broadway’s Tony Awards, Hollywood’s Oscars, to top performers from the Grammy Awards.
This year, FAB is super excited to welcome Mitchell Falcon to this show. Mitchell is a 2022 graduate from Elkhorn Area High School and a talented musician. This is Mitchell’s first year performing with the KIDS From Wisconsin and the show on July 3 will be his “hometown show.”
In addition, during the day on July 3, youth ages 7-14 are invited to participate in their FREE performing arts workshop. During this 1-hour session, participants have a choice to hang out with the band to create their own music composition or learn portions of the choreography from the show with the singers and dancers. All participants will receive a free ticket to that evening’s performance.
This year, KIDS From Wisconsin is partnering with Feeding Wisconsin. The tour will provide a food collection opportunity at each show and help spread resources on how volunteers and donors can help provide a healthier and hunger-free Wisconsin by supporting their local community hunger relief efforts. The “Stuff the Bus” initiative at this show will benefit the Walworth County and Delavan Food Pantries.
The EAHS Fine Arts Boosters was founded to promote and support all the fine arts programs in the Elkhorn Area High School. This group is comprised of parents, teachers and community members who are passionate about enriching these programs. FAB supports music (band and choir), art, culinary, theater and forensics/speech. Through the support we received from the community this year, FAB has awarded 3 scholarships to graduating seniors to further their studies in the fine arts. We have also awarded summer intensive scholarships to underclassmen to study their chosen art-related field, and the theater, band, and culinary arts departments each received a $600 gift to benefit students in these areas. Additionally, we held our first Arts Signing Day.
We encourage you to attend this show to benefit the Elkhorn students in the arts.
