Geneva Lake Women’s Association (GLWA) will hold its first-ever gala, the “Bling It On Gala: Diamond Anniversary Celebration” on Saturday, Nov. 9, at Grand Geneva Resort, celebrating 60 years of service to the community. Since 1964, GLWA has been a lifeline for many, providing financial support to local charities, scholarships to students, and creating opportunities for growth and empowerment to community members.
The ‘Bling It OnGala: A Celebration of Impact
Attendees “Bling It On Gala” will be immersed in a vibrant, sparking atmosphere, enjoy a delicious dinner, and bid on exclusive experience auction items. The event will feature a live, energetic 8-piece band, Chicago’s Blue Water Kings Band. The program will include stories and testimony from featured charities on the impact GLWA has made over the past 60 years.
“What makes the GLWA story truly special is how we’ve been able to bring together women from all walks of life—teachers, nurses, business owners, professionals and stay-at-home moms—united by a common goal: to give back to our community,” says GLWA President Pam Wenc. “Our non-profit group runs solely on volunteers and does amazing things.”
”This event is more than just a celebration—it’s a reflection of our commitment to the future, said Wenc. “The funds raised will go directly to supporting local charities and initiatives that align with our mission, ensuring that our impact continues to grow.”

Raising Funds. Raising Hopes. Raising Spirits.
Since 1964, the Geneva Lake Women’s Association has supported charitable organizations serving those in need. GLWA was originally an extension of the Lake Geneva Jaycees known as the Lake Geneva Jaycettes. This dedicated group of women devoted their time and talents to the community through direct service projects. In 1986, the group declared itself independent of the Jaycees and became the Geneva Lake Women’s Association. Today, GLWA members are innovators in developing and administering programs to answer the needs and issues facing the Greater Walworth County community.
