Community Day: Friends of Echo Lake & Dam

June 21 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Press Release: From Friends of Echo Lake and Dam

A place called home for many of the area and surrounding area residents.   It is a place of uncompromising peace and warmth and after a long day it offers the weary solace.   Children and adults are drawn to this magical place known as the Crown Jewel of Burlington.  No it is not a big lake for boating or water sports, it is a place to play, fish, kayak, picnic, and just relax without the hustle and bustle of larger lakes.  Walk the winding path through the park and along the shoreline and relish in the history of Echo Lake and Dam. We know our dam offers a beautiful backdrop for pictures and a place to fish but even more it is a place to watch our beautiful birds that visit and the sunsets that are never ending.   Bring your family or just bring yourself, your home, at Echo Lake. The Crown Jewel of Burlington.

Friends of Echo Lake and Dam will be holding their 4th Annual Community Day on June 21st at Echo Veterans Memorial Park from 10 am to 4 pm.  Activities will include craft vendors, community vendors, food, music, silent auction, 50/50 raffle and a special raffle for Dad’s only to celebrate their special day, Father’s Day. We are super excited because construction on the Dam will start in April, and it has been a long journey that took community support and perseverance to see it finally happening.  Friends of Echo Lake and Dam is a registered 501(C) 3 organization. We continue to promote awareness, and our fundraising efforts proceeds will be determined as the construction now begins.   Mark your calendar and  Join the Fun on June 21st!
